Disneyland Paris - A magical world

Disneyland Paris is a dream holiday destination for the whole family. Opened in 1992, it spreads on 40 sq km. The complex has two parks, Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios, a shopping center, restaurants, an entertainment area and 7 hotels. The first Disney Hotel is located at the park entrance and offers an amazing view to the park. Behind the hotel begins the magical adventure of Disneyland Paris.

It has 5 areas:

-       Main Street USA

-       Frontierland

-       Adventureland

-       Fantasyland

-       Discoveryland

 Main Street is similar the other theme parks, but it also has two arcades: Liberty Arcade, celebrating The Statue of Liberty and Discovery Arcade, celebrating the great inventions of 20^th century. Also, the arcades represent a shelter when it rains and allow visitors to walk from the Central Plaza to Town Square. The Sleeping Beauty Castle has an unique, magical atmosphere.

In Frontierland you will find the Big Thunder Mountain island, located on the Rivers of the Far West. This island is larger and more beautiful than any other island found in Disney parks.

Adventureland has a very nice entrance and here you can find another island with Captain Hook's ship and Skull Rock, The Swiss Family Robinson Tree and The Treasure Island, with caves, mazes and hidden treasures. Other attractions include The Pirates of the Caribbean and The Blue Lagoon Restaurant. Also in this area there is a roller coaster with a Indiana Jones theme and the Temple of Peril.

Fantasyland offers unique attractions among the other Disney parks, such as a maze with the theme Alice in Wonderland.

Discoveryland is a tribute to the great European visionaries such as Leonardo Da Vinci and Jules Verne. This is an unique area, not found in other Disney parks.

              The Walt Disney Studios Park has 4 areas: Production Courtyard, Toon Studio, Blacklot and Frontlot. Visitors can take part in the Studio Tram Tour, Behind the Magic, Disney Parade and Animagique.

              Apart from entertainment, the resort offers other attractions:

-           Dragon Cave - one of the best Disney parks animatronics

-           Disney characters - scattered throughout the park, some of them all day long and others only according to a schedule

-           Shows and parades

-           The Lion King - theater

-           Candle Celebration - a show where Mickey Mouse and his friends will turn on the lights in the Sleeping Beauty Castle

              Disneyland is located 32 km from Paris on A4 motorway and has excellent connections by bus and the RER A train.
